Waste plastic can be recycled through many ways, among which the most scientific solution is converting waste plastic to fuel oil by pyrolysis technology.
With the increasing consumption of plastic products, waste plastics are also increasing accordingly. At present, China's waste plastics are mainly agricultural plastic films, daily use plastics such as plastic shopping bags and food package plastic, medical waste plastic, etc. Moreover, the annual consumption of automotive plastics in China has reached 400,000 tons, and the annual consumption of plastics for electronic appliances and home appliances has reached more than 1 million tons. Waste plastic from electronic appliances and home appliances
Nowadays converting waste plastic into fuel oil through thermal pyrolysis is accepted by more and more people to solve the plastic pollution. Thermal Pyrolysis is a newborn solution to plastic pollution. It is an energy renewable process which can convert plastic waste into fuel oil. Since plastic is composed of high-molecular polymer, through thermal pyrolysis, the long-chain polymer will break down into synthetic oil gas and finally condensed into fuel oil. Compared with landfill which will take up to 450 years for plastic to break down (to biodegrade), plastic thermal pyrolysis can efficiently solve plastic pollution and meanwhile bring economic interest to human being.

Material recycling is another solution to plastic pollution. Waste plastic can be recycled through granulating and used for raw material of new plastic. But before using as the raw material, waste plastic should be sorted, cleaned, shredded and palletized. The process is quite complicated and needs high investment. Besides, only few plastic is suitable for pelleting, so compared with plastic thermal pyrolysis, this way cannot effectively solve plastic pollution problem. Besides, there is no need any pretreatment to plastic waste before pyrolysis, they can be directly fed into a batch pyrolysis reactor for processing to get fuel oil. The fuel oil got from plastic waste can be used as diesel and coal substitute for industrial heating.
