Pyrolysis refers to a method of heating oil sludge under oxygen-free and slightly positive pressure conditions to precipitate the oil and organic matter in it, and to separate the oil sludge into pyrolysis residue, pyrolysis liquid, and pyrolysis gas to achieve the purpose of resource utilization. The thermal conversion process of oil sludge is divided into two stages: The first stage is the evaporation stage. When the temperature is lower than 350°C, low-boiling light hydrocarbons evaporate from the oily sludge; the second stage is the parallel-sequential reaction stage. When the temperature exceeds 350°C, heavy oil begins to crack. At about 400°C, hydrocarbons will generate free radicals due to thermal activation, and a series of free radical reactions will occur. On the one hand, it will proceed in the direction of pyrolysis to generate small molecular hydrocarbons, and on the other hand, it will proceed in the direction of condensation to generate four products: fuel oil, solid residue and syn-gas. However, the reaction conditions are different and the product ratios are slightly different.
